The Planar Alu ottoman in PT3 is crafted from a fully welded and powder coated aluminium frame in black and black rope-like synthetic wicker. It can be placed at the end of a setting to form a chaise or reconfigured between a corner and midpiece in order to open up the setting. It can also be used as a coffee table by simply placing a serving tray upon it.

Also known as hardened aluminium, this process involves inserting a steel rod or solid timber into the hollow aluminium bar to strengthen the component. This not only allows the piece to carry more weight, but it also limits the welded component from flexing, which undermines its durability.
