Return and Refund Policy

 

Our return and refund policy is designed to ensure you feel confident in your purchase and to comply with the Australian Consumer Law. By placing an order with Wintons Teak, you agree to the terms below, along with our Privacy Policy and Sales and Payment Policy.

Please note that this policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. To avoid restocking fees, cancellations must be made before your order is dispatched from our warehouse.

We are unable to accept cancellations for items sold as Floor Stock Sale, Clearance, Bespoke, or Custom orders.

 

RETURNS

If you have received your order and wish to return it, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to initiate the process. Returns are subject to the following conditions:

Items must be in pristine, unmodified condition. Products with scratches, stains, damage, drilling, or any other alteration will not be accepted.

Items must be returned in their original packaging. If you no longer have the original packaging, please use the best available materials to protect the item during transit. An additional 20% repackaging fee per item will apply for returns without original packaging.

Restocking fees apply as follows:

  • 20% of the item's line total price for Sydney Metro postcodes
  • 30% of the item's line total price for all other postcodes

These fees are deducted from your refund.

We encourage you to photograph the items and their packaging condition before handing them to a delivery partner.

You may return items to our store in person (prior appointment required — please contact us before attending), or request a collection. If we collect the item, a re-collection fee equivalent to the original delivery charge will apply, in addition to any restocking or repackaging fees.

We are unable to accept returns for items sold as Floor Stock Sale, Clearance, Bespoke, or Custom orders.

 

EXCHANGES

If you would like to exchange your item for something else, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. The standard return conditions above apply, with the following exceptions:

  • The restocking fee is waived for exchanges.
  • Instead of a refund, you will receive a store credit equal to the value of the returned item, valid for 24 months.
  • Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash.

 

ORDERS WITH DISCOUNT VOUCHERS

If you cancel or return item(s) from an order where a discount voucher was applied, your refund will reflect only the final amount paid after the discount. The discount is apportioned across items based on their respective value — calculated as (item purchase price / total order value) x voucher value.

The full value of the original voucher will not be reissued or redistributed to remaining items in a revised order. Discount codes and vouchers are single-use only and cannot be transferred or reused.

 

REFUND PAYMENTS

Once your returned items have been received and assessed, your refund will be processed within 7 to 30 days. Where possible, refunds will be returned via the original payment method (credit card, PayPal, or bank account). If this is not possible, the refund will be issued to a valid Australian bank account. The account holder's name must match the original payer's details.
