KILN-DRIED TEAK

Stable Timber Starts Here

Properly seasoning teak takes time. We kiln-dry our teak for up to three months before it is used in construction, allowing the timber to dry evenly and season properly throughout. This helps keep the timber stable, reduces the risk of movement, cracking and weakened joinery, and enables us to achieve a moisture content of 7–10%, higher than the industry standard.

Our standard 7-10% moisture content

WHY PROPER DRYING MATTERS

If timber is used before it is properly dried, moisture remains trapped inside the wood. As the timber continues to dry over time, it can move, shrink and place stress on both the material and the construction.
